E-Mail Marketing: E-mailing previous and potential customers is an effective strategy in digital marketing as it creates a direct line between the company and the consumer. Many companies will allow customers to opt in to receive emails on future products and services after they’ve viewed or purchased a product, this means that once you have gained a loyal customer, you can now make sure they don’t miss out on any future product or service through the use of email, companies will email their consumers advertisements for upcoming products and newsletters, they will sometimes offer subscribers exclusive early access to guaranteed popular products, for example, JD Sports offer users of their mobile application a chance to enter a raffle for early access to the popular footwear brand Yeezy when there is an upcoming release, through email.



Video Advertising: Video Advertising is a good strategy for companies if they want to reach a broader audience as video advertising can be used effectively on any website that allows video playback, which includes all of the previous social media website mentioned above as well as dedicated video sites such as YouTube which has a huge audience of over 2 billion. Companies can pay to have their video advertisements play before a video a consumer intends to watch, and most advertisements have a five second period before the viewer can skip to the full video allowing the advertisement to grab them should they find it interesting. A good example of effective video advertising is when clothing companies have seasonal sales on their websites that consumers otherwise might not know about but would be very interested in what deals are available, they will inevitably see an advertisement for a sale on a video eventually, thus leading them to the site.
